A good value, but too "breathy" for me.

This flute has a breathy tone to it, which I know some people like. The bigger the flute, the more it is apt to be that way. Personally, I prefer an Irish whistle to be much clearer. For those who don't mind that factor, this flute is a good investment.

A good F one!

The flute certainly does not have a bright or sharp, or shrill sound, I would say it is rather breathy, especially in the upper octave, but warm in the lower. It is perfectly in tune. I really appreciate the width of the large holes in the Dominic flutes, it's easy to make semitones and they sound very good.
Furthermore they have a very affordable price.

Great Beginner Low Whistle

I bought this Low F whistle with the intention of getting something sturdy and affordable to experiment with. The thing seems nearly indestructible. Going from a high whistle to a low whistle definitely takes some getting use to. Fingering is completely different and requires a completely different approach. It'll be frustrating for the first day or two. I transitioned fairly quickly though. It has a nice sound and I'm just really enjoying it so far. I'm glad someone is making an affordable option like this. It's nothing fancy but it works great and suits my needs well.

Full disclosure, I am very much a beginner. I'm giving a beginner's opinion. As a beginner I think this is a great whistle for getting started.

Very good

If you play tin whistle and bagpipes, you will find it very easy. You don't play this low whistle, you just deliver the sound that is trapped inside. A great pleasure.
